Former Chelsea defender, Frank Leboeuf has warned Liverpool manager, Arne Slot that he could lose the backing of four of his players due to his team selection.
According to Leboeuf, the players are Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong, Curtis Jones and Federico Chiesa.
He gave the warning following Liverpool’s Premier League 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.
“He [Arne Slot] is going to lose the bench if he carries on like this,” Leboeuf told ESPN FC.
“The players who came on against Manchester United – Frimpong, Jones, Ekitike and Chiesa.
“Those players, they work hard, and they see players being picked by the coach because of their price tag.
“That is something you can be blamed for; you can lose the players who are in top form right now, especially Ekitike.”
The outcome of the Man United game leaves Liverpool in third position behind Arsenal and Manchester City.
