A Nigerian woman, Hauwa Mohammed, has said that Islam does not support poverty but rather encourages hard work and teaches that wealth should be earned through honest means and used to help the less privileged.

She stated this on Monday while addressing Muslim women who use Islam as an excuse to justify being broke

“The key is Earn through halal means. Stay humble. Trust Allah in the process. Use your wealth for good. Don’t let anyone guilt you for wanting more just do it right. Rizq is from Allah, but effort is from you,” she added.
