Veteran Nollywood actress Peju Ogunmola has stirred emotions online after sharing a heartfelt video about her return to acting, just two months after the passing of her only son.
The Nollywood community was thrown into mourning in September 2025 when Peju and her husband, fellow veteran actor Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Pappy Luwe, lost their son, Ayomikun. The heartbreaking news prompted an outpouring of love and condolences from industry colleagues and fans.
In her recent video, Peju Ogunmola expressed deep appreciation to everyone who stood by her family during their darkest period. She said she felt the warmth of people’s love, prayers, and support throughout her mourning, adding that she was now ready to rise again and return to her life’s passion acting.
According to the actress, resuming work does not mean she has overcome her pain; rather, she believes her late son would have wanted her to keep moving forward. Peju revealed that she had spent the past two months in deep sorrow but had finally found peace in accepting God’s will.
She ended her message with a Christian hymn, singing, “When it is good, You are the Most High; when it is bad, You are also the Most High.” Peju concluded by declaring that she was back, stronger and wiser, and urged movie producers and directors to feature her in new projects.
