Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has insisted that Erling Haaland is at the same level as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Guardiola spoke at his post-match interview after Haaland scored a brace in Man City’s Premier League 3-1 win against Bournemouth on Sunday.
“We played really good, of course. Again, Erling [Haaland] was decisive,” Guardiola said.
“It is a little like when you play with [Lionel] Messi or Cristiano [Ronaldo], you know? The influence is so big.
“Has he [Haaland] reached that level? You see the numbers of that guy? Yes, of course, he is at their levels of the numbers from Cristiano and Messi.”
Man City’s fixture is against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday.
