A Nigerian man has called on the public to show compassion toward Nollywood actress Regina Daniels as reports surface that her marriage to billionaire politician, Senator Ned Nwoko, is facing serious turmoil.
The man, who goes by the handle @gentl_introvert on X (formerly Twitter), appealed to Nigerians to “forgive” the actress for her past actions and stand by her during this difficult period.
He wrote:
“I think it’s time we show some empathy to Regina Daniels and forgive her for mocking her peers in the past. Her marriage with Ned Nwoko has turned bitter, and if nothing is done, the alleged abuse might continue. Arresting her family members is completely out of line.”
His comments follow recent developments suggesting that Regina’s marriage has hit rocky waters. The actress recently made a troubling post on social media, confessing that she felt like she was “losing her mind.”
Adding to the controversy, Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, released a video condemning Senator Nwoko’s alleged behavior, claiming her daughter once contributed $50,000 to support his political campaign but is now being mistreated.
According to reports, some of Regina’s siblings were allegedly detained, intensifying the tension and fueling online outrage.
While Regina has voiced her distress publicly, Senator Ned Nwoko has yet to issue any official statement regarding the allegations.
