The Ogun State Police Command has declared a senior officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, missing.
The spokesperson of the command, CSP Omolola Odutola, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, November 7, 2025 said both mother and daughter were reported missing after they left their residence in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Sunday and never returned.
Oluwamayokun, a Superintendent Route Commander, is a fourth-level senior operational officer in the FRSC hierarchy, responsible for overseeing multiple routes and coordinating strategic enforcement operations.
According to the PPRO, efforts by family members and colleagues to reach the officer and her daughter on their mobile phones have been abortive.
“The Ogun State Police Command is seeking the assistance of the general public in locating one SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, a 38-year-old female officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Abeokuta Unit, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, who have been declared missing,” the statement read.
“The report was lodged at Kemta Divisional Police Headquarters on Tuesday, November 5, 2025, by a Federal Road Safety Officer serving in Abeokuta, in the company of the victims’ family members.
“According to the report, the officer and her daughter left their residence at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Sunday morning, November 2, 2025, and have not returned home since then. All efforts to reach them on the phone have proved abortive.”
The statement added that the state Commissioner of Police ordered an immediate and thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding their disappearance and ensure their safe return.
The command appealed to anyone with useful information about their whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.
“The command assures all that all information received will be treated with the utmost confidentiality,” the statement added.
