Kelechi Iheanacho will be sidelined for a few more weeks, according to Celtic interim head coach, Martin O’Neill.

Iheanacho is yet to make an appearance for the Hoops since sustaining a hamstring injury against Sturm Graz last month.

The 29-year-old has been forced to miss Celtic’s last four games across all competitions.

O’ Neill revealed Iheanacho won’t be available for his side’s home clash with Kilmarnock.

The gaffer, however, expects the forward to be back in action after the international break.

“Yeah, he is going to be a few more weeks. I think that obviously after Sunday we’ve got this fortnight’s break and we’ll see how things go from there. But yeah, he certainly won’t be available for Sunday anyway,” he told reporters on Friday.
