EPL: Van Dijk Fires Title Warning To Arsenal After Liverpool’s 3-0 Defeat To Man City

Liverpool captain, Virgil van Dijk, has fired a clear warning to Arsenal following the Reds’ 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Dutchman said that Liverpool are ‘not going to give up’ on defending their title.

He said Arne Slot’s men will fight to finish and are ‘ready’ for a ‘big fight’ for the Premier League trophy.

In Pep Guardiola’s 1000th game as a manager, Erling Haaland put the Cityzens in front and Liverpool thought they had equalised before half-time but Van Dijk’s header was ruled out for offside.

Nico Gonzalez added the second for Man City’s on the stroke of half-time.

Jeremy Doku put the game beyond the Reds’ with a superb third.

With the defeat, Liverpool dropped to eight place, while Manchester City climbed back up to second.

Van Dijk told reporters after the game, “It’s about finding consistency and carrying on. Now we go to our countries, stay fit and be ready for a big run after.

“We are not going to give up whatsoever. We are in November and we are ready for a long season and a big fight.”
