Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has come to the defence of her colleague Regina Daniels, denying claims that Regina admitted to taking drugs in her recent statement addressing her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Earlier today, Regina Daniels had released a lengthy post responding to Nwoko’s allegations that she abuses drugs. In the post, she expressed disappointment over his actions and accused him of twisting the truth to damage her reputation.
Regina wrote:
“Ned, how could you lie so openly and without even small remorse? You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this. You have always tried to cut them off because of the bond we share, and now you are trying to make them look bad for no reason.
Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media something dramatic enough to distract everyone from the real issue!”
Following her post, many social media users interpreted her words as an admission to drug use, fueling further controversy around her ongoing marital conflict with the senator.
However, Doris Ogala took to her Instagram page to clarify that Regina’s statement had been misunderstood. According to Ogala, Regina was not confessing to drug abuse, but rather using sarcasm to expose how Ned Nwoko allegedly manipulates narratives to divert attention from their real marital issues.
She wrote that Regina’s tone was defensive, not confessional, and urged the public to read her words carefully instead of spreading misleading claims.
