Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi has clarified his previous post on the team’s accommodation in Morocco ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers playoff against Gabon on Thursday.
NEWSUNPLUG reports that Iwobi was speechless as he drew attention to the poor condition of the team’s hotel in Rabat.
The Fulham star shared images highlighting the poor state and surroundings of the Super Eagles’ accommodation.
His post immediately prompted concerns about the welfare and preparation standards of the Nigerian national team ahead of the Gabon clash on Thursday.
However, Iwobi has now clarified his stance regarding the post as he insisted that he never made any complaint or passed judgment about the hotel.
“Are you seeing life? It’s all about perspective, because I snapped at the view I have and people are thinking these guys are ungrateful,” the former Arsenal and Everton player said in a social media post.
“Brother, I never said one thing. I just did one look like this, never said a word. Because, you see, in life, some people don’t even have yards; some of them don’t have beds.”
