Nollywood actress Regina Daniels continues to make headlines as her marital issues with billionaire husband Ned Nwoko remain in the spotlight.

The actress had previously accused her husband of abuse, while her brother also shared troubling claims about the state of her marriage, intensifying public attention.

Amid the ongoing discussions, her short film “Smile For the Camera” recently went viral on social media.

Produced in 2021 by Regina Entertainment TV (RET), the film explores the harsh realities of domestic violence and the struggles faced by individuals trapped in abusive relationships.

This short film is RET’s first docu-series tackling social justice topics, with the goal of using storytelling to challenge societal norms that perpetuate oppression and silence victims of abuse, according to Bella Naija.

The cast includes Regina Daniels as Sophia, Gideon Moses as Dan, Gloria Mathias K. as Sophia’s mother, Nicolas Adekeye as her father, and Emanuella C. Eboka as Doctor Alex. IceQue On It directed the film, while Precious Nkem Ogbuenyi wrote the script.

Although the short film had been produced in 2021, clips resurfacing online recently sparked renewed attention. Observers noted that Regina had shared and later removed the video from her social media pages when it was first released.

A search by Legit.ng could not locate the full video on YouTube, adding to speculation about why it was taken down.

Despite this, “Smile For the Camera” continues to attract praise online, with many applauding Regina Daniels for her creativity and the important message conveyed through the project.
