Afrobeats star and songwriter Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, popularly known as Dammy Krane, has stirred conversations online with the release of his latest single, “Champion’s Arrival (Hahaha).”
The track, which dropped on Tuesday, November 11, the same day Wizkid’s 14-year-old son, Boluwatife also known as Champz unveiled his debut five-track EP titled “Champion’s Arrival,” has drawn mixed reactions from fans.
Many music lovers have accused Dammy Krane of mimicking the young artist’s project due to the striking similarity in their titles and release timing.
The controversy emerged shortly after Boluwatife’s EP achieved major success, topping Apple Music Nigeria and surpassing one million Spotify streams within just 24 hours of its release.
