Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle cant hide his excitement following Nigeria’s thrilling 4-1 victory over Gabon in the semi-final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Playoffs.
Sevilla hitman Akor Adams gave the Super Eagles the lead with 12 minutes remaining on the clock.
The Panthers however fought back with midfielder Mario Lemina netting the equaliser in the 88th minute.
Nigeria regained the lead through substitute Chidera Ejuke in the 97th minute.
Victor Osimhen scored twice to seal the win for the Super Eagles.
Chelle praised his players for their battling display in the game.
“I am very proud of these guys (players) because every time they are focused on what I asked, what I want and it show what I want.
“The word today was the passion, during my speech it was about passion it was the working together to have the same thing,” Chelle said after the game.
The Super Eagles will take on the Leopards of Democratic Republic of Congo in the final on Sunday.
