Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle has warned his players they must remain humble despite Thursday night’s big win over the Panthers of Gabon.
The three-time African champions sealed a place in the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after thrashing 4-1 in Rabat.
The Super Eagles must now beat the Leopards of Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday to earn a place in the Intercontinental playoffs.
Chelle told his players that they have yet to achieve anything.
“They did (win vs Gabon), but this is nothing because they have another game in two days. May be after the second game, we can smile,” the Super Eagles coach cautioned in a post-match press briefing.
The encounter against Democratic Republic of Congo will hold at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex, Rabat.
It will kick-off at 8pm Nigerian time.
