Nigerian music video director and cinematographer ThankGod Omori Jesam, widely known as TG Omori, has sparked widespread reactions after publicly sharing his views on same-gender relationships.
On November 14, 2025, Omori posted on his official X account that he believes “having same-gender sex is evil.”
The statement quickly went viral, prompting intense debate across Nigerian social media. Opinions ranged from support for his viewpoint to strong criticism from users who opposed his stance.
Some individuals even threatened to boycott any music video directed by Omori, regardless of the artist involved, as a form of protest against his comments.
In response to the backlash, TG Omori defended his position, engaging with critics online and reiterating his perspective.
He further warned that he would continue sharing what he described as “uncomfortable truths” based on scripture. In one of his tweets, he wrote:
“Better block me in advance. From Monday morning, I’ll start reminding you all the uncomfortable truths everyone needs to hear according to scripture one after the other. Get some waffles and soy milk.”
He added in a follow-up tweet:
“These are thoughts you shouldn’t ponder on and arguments you should never give audience to. They involve lustful desires and immoral pleasures. Your desires aren’t strong enough to overcome these spirits.”
