There will be Premier League rivals scrambling to sign Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth in January, when his £65m release clause becomes active.

According to Sky Sports, Semenyo’s release clause is £60m plus £5m in add-ons.

However, it is only active to a certain date during the winter window.

The clause was inserted in the new five-year contract Semenyo signed with the Cherries in the summer.

A couple of teams had enquired about the Ghanaian before he opted to remain with Bournemouth.

However, the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham will make moves to sign the player next year.

Semenyo has scored six league goals so far this season.

Bristol City, who sold Semenyo to the Cherries for around £10m in January 2023, would be due 20 per cent of any profit made on the 25-year-old.
