Tensions within the Obasanjo-Fayose circle escalated dramatically as Isaac Fayose openly criticized his elder brother, Ayodele Fayose, over his recent verbal attack on former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The feud intensified on Monday when Isaac referred to Ayo Fayose as “a pig who will forever remain a pig,” signaling a sharp break from his brother’s stance.

In an Instagram post, Isaac made it clear that he did not support Ayo Fayose’s harsh comments aimed at Obasanjo, describing the situation as having gone too far particularly following Obasanjo’s remarks during Ayo’s 65th birthday celebration.

“Regardless of the garlands you put on him, a pig will always remain a pig,” Isaac wrote, sharing the statement in which Ayo had launched his attack on the former president, highlighting the growing rift.

Earlier, Ayo Fayose had stirred controversy by sending a fiery SMS to Obasanjo, labeling him “irresponsible” and suggesting he “belongs in the zoo.” The message became public after being shared by Obasanjo’s media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi.

In the message, Fayose claimed, “Someone once said you are supposed to be kept away in the zoo. Sincerely, that’s where you belong.” He also accused Obasanjo of experiencing “heightened dementia” and urged him to return funds he alleged had been acknowledged. Fayose explained that he had refrained from responding publicly during his birthday event to allow people to “see the difference between a sane and a mad man.”

The confrontation quickly became a major topic online. Obasanjo responded briefly, thanking Fayose while pointing out that his words revealed “who and what you are, unchanged and unchangeable.” He further stated that the disputed funds had already been returned through the same channel, “unopened,” adding another twist to the ongoing dispute.

Isaac’s condemnation of his own brother has turned the conflict into a public family drama, leaving many Nigerians shocked. His post sparked a flurry of reactions online, with people expressing surprise at the brothers’ open disagreement over the matter.
