Akwa United head coach Paul Offor has said that his players are highly motivated ahead of the matchday two encounter against Abakaliki FC.
The Promise Keepers will face Abakaliki FC at the Uyo Township Stadium on Sunday.
Offor said they will approach each game as it comes.
“Our win last weekend is now behind us. We’ve shifted our focus completely to Sunday’s match, and the players are responding well,” Offor told the club’s media.
“The atmosphere in camp is positive, the boys are in good shape, and everyone is eager to make the matchday squad. I’m impressed with the healthy competition within the group.”
The young tactician said that the goal is to secure maximum points against the 2025 President Federation Cup finalists.
“At the moment, Abakaliki FC is our main focus. We don’t want to take anything for granted because a win on Sunday will give us the needed push for the rest of the season. We are preparing thoroughly because it’s a very important game for us,” he said.
