Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has publicly condemned the prioritization of physical enhancement over career development after an encounter with a job candidate, stating that the mindset is a detriment to success.
The movie star recounted how she almost hired a young woman for a sales manager role with a significant salary, but reversed the decision after learning about the woman’s primary life ambition.
Martins stated:
“I asked a fine girl where she sees herself in 5 years, and she confidently and arrogantly told me she wishes to go to Turkey 🇹🇷 to redo her body. This is someone I almost hired as my sales manager with a massive monthly salary, omo na once I discharge am.”
Issuing a strong message to ladies about the value of substance over appearance, the actress emphasized that inner qualities are key to sustaining success:
“Wisdom is more profitable than BIG NYASH! But if you’re lucky enough to have both wisdom and a big nyash, then you’re unstoppable! Big nyash will create opportunities, but wisdom and humility will sustain it”.
