Nigerian media personality and mother of Davido’s first child, Sophia Momodu, has addressed a critic who questioned why her daughter, Imade Adeleke, did not attend the singer’s birthday celebration.
Sophia responded via her Snapchat page after a user accused her of preventing Imade from being present at Davido’s 33rd birthday party.

Reacting strongly, the influencer dismissed the claim and stressed that she will always prioritize her daughter’s protection. She condemned the circulation of false narratives about her family.
In her words:
“You people have been doing this false narrative thing for over 10 years now. And while I try to be as graceful as I can, I’m also a very protective mother. Say whatever you want about me, it’s ok. But leave my child alone. This is non-negotiable. Imade is not a bargaining chip for her mother to conform.”
