Actor Odira Nwobu Reportedly Dies Of High Blood Pressure

Tragedy has reportedly struck the Nollywood industry with the sudden passing of popular actor and comedian, Odira Nwobu, in the early hours of Monday, November 24, 2025.

According to a report shared by Stanley Ontop, the death is currently unconfirmed but has swiftly gone viral, leaving fans and industry colleagues in shock.

Details of the Unconfirmed Report
Stanley Ontop alleged that Odira Nwobu, who was widely known for his comedy persona ‘Joseph The Dreamer’, died of high blood pressure shortly after returning from a club in South Africa last night.

The report read:

“According to the report, he had high blood pressure. Omo it’s well, someone who was in club last night.”

The talented Nigerian actor and content creator, who was born on May 24, 1982, in Enugu, was previously noted for surviving a severe crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in June 2025, where he was the sole survivor from his vehicle.
