Arsenal attacker, Bukayo Saka, has spoken on how proud he is about his Nigerian heritage.
The England attacker noted that his parents had their upbringing in Nigeria, adding that his family background shaped both his identity and values.
Saka played international football for his country of birth, England.
The winger, who grew up in England, has never forgotten the land of his parents.
In an interview with the BBC, Saka said, “My name is Bukayo Moses Ayoyinka Temidayo Saka. I am very proud of it [my Nigerian roots].
“Both my parents grew up in Nigeria, so many of their values have been instilled in me.”
Saka was in Lagos in June 2023 where he was hosted by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the State House.
The winger, 24, wore the captain armband for the Arsenal side that beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 in the Premier League on Sunday.
