Nigerian musician Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, recently addressed the online criticism he receives about his educational background.
The artist, who commands a large social media following, explained why negative comments rarely affect him. He said:
“People call me uneducated or illiterate, but when I look at their profile pictures, they often appear the most broke and unremarkable.”
Peller, who has amassed 13 million followers on TikTok, noted that he seldom uses Instagram despite having 2.2 million followers there, mainly reserving it for professional or brand-related activities.
Having attended Providence Primary School and Frontrunner Academy in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Peller has not pursued higher education.
His frank comments have sparked reactions online, with some praising his self-assurance while others emphasize the importance of formal education for long-term success. The video has since gone viral on TikTok and other social media platforms.
