The Nigeria National League, NNL, has directed clubs in the division to establish feeder teams.
According to the NNL, the aim is to improve club stability, player development, and the overall league structure.
Chief Operating Officer of the NNL, Danlami Alalana, stated that feeder teams can provide a platform for younger players to develop and hone their skills, with the potential to be promoted to the main team.
Danlami further said that feeder teams can generate revenue and create a sustainable talent pipeline for the various clubs.
The NNL has directed all clubs to submit details of their feeder teams for authentication.
Clubs have been given one month to comply with the directive or face sanctions from the league body.
