A woman has shared how her father spent 20 years of his life commuting to work from Ikorodu to Marina.
She shared her father’s story after an X user questioned how people are able to work corporate jobs for 30 years.
In response, she told of how her father would return home to Ikorodu from work in Marina by 12am and still have to wake by 3:30am to leave for work by 4am.
She said the Ikorodu Road had not been worked on at the time and her father did that journey daily for 20 years.
She admitted that her father once slumped at work, yet he had no choice but to keep going since a family of five was depending on him.
“Parents are superheroes,” she concluded.
