Media personality CeeC has opened up about her life after leaving the Big Brother Naija house, sharing how fame, public expectations, and personal growth have influenced her journey over the years.
In a recent interview with @echooroom_, CeeC stated that her decision to join the reality show wasn’t about chasing celebrity status or returning to her law career. She said she simply wanted to experience the process.
“For me, I just wanted to go into the house, experience it, and take whatever lessons I could. I wasn’t even willing to go back to practicing law,” she said.
She described the unexpected attention she received after leaving the house.
“When we came out, it was like, ‘What now? Celebrity.’ I was meeting people I used to watch on TV it was so different. I’m grateful I had the right people around me to help manage the fame and everything that came with it,” she added.
CeeC also highlighted one of her biggest challenges: being constantly identified as a “BBNaija star” while trying to establish her own brand beyond the show.
“I don’t know if there will ever be a time when I can be seen as more than a BBNaija star. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing because the platform gave us so much,” she explained.
She noted that online audiences often emphasize contestants’ Big Brother identity first, regardless of their current achievements.
“If you look at Instagram blogs, the first thing they’ll say about someone like Teddy is ‘Big Brother,’ even though this is what he does now. Same for me it’s still BBNaija. But this is my life today. We keep moving forward.”
