Barcelona will stay top of the LaLiga table after Real Madrid failed to beat Girona on Sunday.
Xabi Alonso’s men were held to a 1-1 draw by the struggling team.
Azzedine Ounahi opened the scoring for the hosts, with their first goal against Madrid since April 2023.
Los Blancos needed a Kylian Mbappé penalty in the 67th-minute to make it 1-1.
Mbappe’s penalty – his 28th goal in 23 games for club and country – ensured Madrid left with a share of the points.
However, they are now on 33 points in second place, one behind Barca who beat Alaves 3-1 on Saturday.
