Self-proclaimed social media watchdog Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VDM, has shared his reaction to a video of Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh praying in tongues.
The actress and entrepreneur recently announced on social media that she had become born again, and she later posted a video of herself praying to mark the start of the new month.
VDM expressed surprise at Tonto Dikeh’s transformation, noting that he suspected a change when she went ahead to remove her BBL. He remarked on the actress’s new spiritual journey, calling her “prophetess” and “mummy,” and sent her his well-wishes.
In his video, VDM made a specific plea regarding their ongoing court case. He suggested that now that Tonto Dikeh has been called by God, she should consider withdrawing the lawsuit, reminding her that even God preaches forgiveness.
VDM mentioned that he was due in court the following day and used the opportunity to quote Matthew 7:7, emphasizing the biblical principle of asking and receiving. He prayed for the actress’s heart to be softened so she could forgive him and even attempted to speak in tongues in a manner similar to Tonto Dikeh.
This is not VDM’s first legal entanglement with Nollywood stars. Last year, after commenting on a WhatsApp group involving Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh, he faced a defamation suit filed by the actresses along with music producer Samklef.
