Arsenal restored their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, with a battling 2-0 victory over Brentford on Wednesday night.
The Gunners came into the game knowing that Manchester City closed in on them with a 5-4 win at Fulham a day before.
And they got an early goal at the Emirates, after Mikel Merino rose highest to head home Ben White’s goal.
But Arsenal failed to double their advantage despite their domination until Bukayo Saka came off the bench to make it 2-0 in stoppage time.
In the other games played on the night, Chelsea saw their title challenge take a huge dent, as they were beaten 3-1 at Leeds United.
Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw at home with Sunderland and are now 11 points behind leaders, Arsenal.
