Nollywood actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has generated widespread reactions on social media following a public testimony about her renewed Christian faith and personal transformation.
On Sunday, December 14, 2025, Dikeh shared her experience during a church service at Pastor Jerry Eze’s Streams of Joy International Church. While addressing the congregation, she spoke about what she described as her deliverance from smoking, alcohol addiction, long-standing anger, and other personal challenges.
In a video that has since gone viral, the actress revealed that she was exposed to smoking at a very young age and struggled with alcohol for many years, attributing her change to God’s intervention.
“I smoked since I was 13. God healed me too. I have known myself to have sexual in the dream ever since I was a child,” she said.
She explained that she initially felt reluctant to share her testimony publicly because of concerns about her reputation.
“The devil tried to tell me that I was supposed to protect my image. But I told myself, what image? The God that gave me the image is the same God that can take it away,” she said.
Dikeh further stated that she began to notice a major shift in her life after attending the Ghana Prayer Conference, which she described as a turning point after years of spiritual struggles.
The actress also spoke about dealing with what she referred to as “demonic anger,” noting that it previously affected her relationships and personal life. According to her, God removed it and replaced it with peace.
She added that this was the first time in her life she had truly experienced peace.
“I am 40 years old, and I can tell you I have never known peace until now. I am living in it,” she said.
Tonto Dikeh also disclosed that her smoking habit lasted for about 27 years, explaining that it began due to exposure at home.
“I started smoking because my dad was a smoker. Something as little as that habit can inhabit the lives of your children,” she said.
She concluded by saying she is now free from all her past struggles. The circulating video also captured the moment Pastor Jerry Eze prayed for her following the testimony.
The video of Tonto Dikeh sharing her testimony in church continues to trend online.
