Popular cleric Pastor Chris Okafor has officially married his partner, Pearl, weeks after actress Doris Ogala publicly accused him of promising to wed her.
Reports indicate that the wedding ceremony was held on Tuesday, December 16, following a wave of social media posts in which Doris called out the pastor over the alleged promise.
Several well-known religious leaders were present at the ceremony, including Bishop Oche John Egah, Pastor Idah Peterside, Matthew A. Ashimolowo, and Bishop Isaac Idahosa.
Bishop Oche shared details of the event on social media, posting the wedding programme alongside a caption that read, “Perfect Match Made in Heaven.”
The marriage comes shortly after online reactions intensified when Doris Ogala took to Instagram to accuse the clergyman, drawing widespread attention.
As earlier reported by GistLover, the actress, who stated her intention to take legal action, claimed to be in possession of chat messages, screen recordings, and a video which she said revealed the date and phone number of the recipient.
During a conversation with media personality Daddy Freeze, she was cautioned against releasing such materials publicly, as it could attract legal consequences related to privacy laws.
However, Doris maintained her stance, revealing that she had already instructed her lawyer to proceed with the case. She argued that Pastor Okafor’s decision to marry another woman after allegedly making commitments to her justified legal action, adding that she was prepared to present evidence in court.
