Popular activist VDM has earned widespread praise after announcing his plan to sponsor a brilliant young Nigerian inventor abroad using a $50,000 cash gift he recently received.
The activist explained that a benefactor fulfilled a financial promise after witnessing his humanitarian work. Upon receiving the funds, VDM recalled a young boy he had seen on Instagram who built a blender, power bank, and projector entirely from scratch.
Realizing the boy’s rare talent, VDM vowed to take action, stating: “I will not let that boy’s life or talent die like many others in Nigeria.”
VDM has already contacted the boy and his parents to begin the process. He emphasized that his own rise in life came with a duty to help others, noting that “God has helped him rise and placed a responsibility on him.” While he admitted that some of the money would go toward personal debts, he maintained that the boy’s education is a priority.
The activist concluded by pledging to send the child overseas to ensure he reaches his full potential, sparking an emotional reaction across social media.
