The Adamawa State Police Command has commenced investigation into the kidnapping and k!lling of a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Beecroft Wenisefrus Dankunama, in Lamurde Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that Dankunama, with state code KT/24C/1218, a native of the Tsobo community from Furtu in Lamurde LGA, was reportedly murdered on Saturday, December 20, 2025, while returning home.

According to Tsobo Youth Development Association (TYDA), Dankunama was deployed to Katsina State for his national service and had briefly returned home to seek medical attention before resuming duty.

The group said the deceased was last seen in Lafiya while traveling to Furtu through Lamurde but failed to reach his destination.

Local sources who requested anonymity alleged that he was stopped in Lamurde, identified, taken away, and later k!lled by some youths suspected to be militias.

“The command will take appropriate legal action in handling situations that arise during the course of its investigation.
