Wilfred Ndidi insists the Super Eagles will improve in their subsequent games at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Eric Chelle’s side laboured to a 2-1 victory over Tanzania in their first game on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles dominated the game for long spells but were let down by their poor finishing.

Tanzania also caught open the Super Eagles defense a couple of times.

Ndidi stated that it is normal for the team to struggle in their opening fixture.

The Besiktas star further said claiming maximum points is the most important thing.

“It was a good game. The first game of a tournament is always like this, about getting the momentum.“It was really, really good that we got the three points, which is the most important thing.”

Nigeria’s next game is against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on Tuesday.
