Uganda striker Uche Ikpeazu says the Cranes will go all out for a win against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, NEWSUNPLUG reports.
Paul Put’s men are in need of a win in the Group C tie to earn a berth in the knockout round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
It will be second-ever meeting between Uganda and Nigeria at the AFCON.
The Cranes won their only meeting 2-1 in the semi-final of the 1978 edition.
The Super Eagles, who are already through to the Round of 16 are overwhelming favourites to win this tie.
Ikpeazu, whose father is a Nigerian, and mother Ugandan however declared that they will go for broke against the Super Eagles.
“Hopefully we get the win against Nigeria. We want to try and qualify (for Round of 16), that’s what everyone wants,” Ikpeazu stated.
