Former Uruguay goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera has named the three countries capable of winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup trophy.

This year’s World Cup will commence in the summer in Mexico, Canada and the United States.

Speaking to ESPN, Muslera said (via AlbicelesteTalk): “The 3 candidates for the World Cup are Uruguay, Argentina, and Spain.

“Brazil is one step below and I believe Cristiano [Ronaldo] isn’t going to win the World Cup.

“I’ve faced both Ronaldo and Messi, and the sensations are totally different.

“I love Messi and I hope he always stays on top with that World Cup he won.”
