Nollywood actress Omoborty has publicly addressed what she described as unhealthy attitudes within the film industry, calling out colleagues who fail to support producers and fellow actors when it matters most.

In a post shared online, the actress criticised actors who feature in movies but become unavailable or uncooperative when it is time to promote the projects. She described such behaviour as wicked and unsupportive, stressing that no actor is above the work or the people who fund it.

Omoborty also spoke about colleagues she described as stingy with support, saying she has personally promoted many films she did not even appear in, simply because supporting others costs nothing.

According to her, envy and bad character have made some people see another person’s progress as a threat rather than inspiration, adding that this mindset continues to hurt collaboration and growth within the industry.
