A Muslim woman, Aisha Lawal has claimed that men in Northern Nigeria treat their wives badly and still use spiritual means to tie the women down in order to stop them from leaving the marriage.

“Some men, especially in Northern Nigeria will be treating their wives badly and still ”Kafi/Kafe” her spiritually so she won’t even think of leaving the marriage,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

“If you see a man going spiritual to tie his wife down not to leave him then be rest assured that he is irresponsible. If he is good, she will never want to leave.”
