Trabzonspor have announced the signing of Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, DAILY POST reports.

Nwaiwu joined the Turkish Super Lig outfit from Austrian club Wolfsberger AC.

The 22-year-old put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year after  successfully completing his medicals in Istanbul.

Trabzonspor paid Wolfsberger AC €5.5 for the player.

Nwaiwu’s arrival increased the number of Nigerians at the club to four with Paul Onuachu, Kazeem Olaigbe and Anthony Nwakaeme already part of the squad.

The centre-back joined Wolfsberger AC from Enyimba in 2024.
