Former Manchester United striker, Odion Ighalo has insisted that the Red Devils have not been doing well in the Premier League so far this season.

Ighalo said this while reacting to Ruben Amorim’s recent sack as Manchester United manager.

The former Super Eagles attacker insisted that he knew Man United would sack Amorim because they have not been consistent in terms of results, but admitted he didn’t know his dismissal was going to be this early.

Reacting to Amorim’s sack, Ighalo said on SuperSport, “I saw that [Amorim’s sack] coming. I knew Man United were going to change the coach but I didn’t know it was going to be this early.

“The team has not been doing well. They are not consistent; they have been going up and down. Some games that they were supposed to win, they drew, and some games that they were supposed to win, they lost the game.

“So, the last game against Wolves at home, they didn’t play as a team. Against Newcastle, they are playing at home, but playing as if they are away. They sat back, and Newcastle played like 80 per cent of possessions.

“So I saw that coming. I know they were going to change the coach, but I didn’t know it was going to be this early like that. I want them to do well, and hopefully they will bring someone that will take the club to the next level”.
