Nollywood star Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, has raised concerns about certain behaviours she considers harmful within the film industry, particularly among actors who neglect to support movies they star in during promotional campaigns.

According to Newsunplug, Okeowo took to her Instagram page to express frustration with actors who participate in films but fail to assist producers when it comes to marketing and promoting the projects. She described such conduct as unfair and disrespectful, highlighting that it disregards the time, effort, and resources invested in making the movie.

The actress also pointed out that some industry colleagues are unwilling to support the work of others, even when it comes at no cost to them. She shared that she has personally promoted numerous films she did not feature in, believing that uplifting fellow creatives is essential for the growth of Nollywood.

Okeowo stressed that progress in the industry should serve as inspiration rather than a source of jealousy or resentment. She warned that viewing another person’s achievements as a threat only fosters division and slows overall development.

In her post, she also expressed gratitude to those who have supported her sincerely, including those who offered help unprompted. She urged her peers to set aside envy and negativity, emphasizing that there is ample room for everyone to thrive when the industry works collectively.
