Morocco’s Brahim Díaz is on the verge of making history when his side faces the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the AFCON semi-final tie on Wednesday.
Diaz is currently the top scorer in the AFCON tournament in Morocco.
The Real Madrid winger has five goals to his name at the AFCON so far, having scored in five consecutive games.
Diaz recently matched a 58-year-old record set by Ghana’s Osei Kofi after scoring a goal in Morocco’s 2-0 win against Cameroon in the quarter-final.
However, if Diaz finds the net again on Wednesday against Nigeria, the 26-year-old will become the first player ever to score in six consecutive AFCON matches
The kick-off time for the Morocco vs Nigeria match is 9 pm, Nigerian time.
