A Nigerian couple, Edozie and Amara, got married years after connecting on Twitter over shared love for palm wine.

In December 2020, Edozie shared a photo of him holding a cup of palm wine, saying it is one of the benefits of being in his hometown, Mbaise.

“One of the benefits of being at home. Nwa afo Mbaise,” he captioned the post.

Amara commented on the post, writing: “Not only can I taste it through the picture, I can also smell it.”

On January 13, 2026, Edozie shared a screenshot of his 2020 tweet and Amara’s comment alongside their wedding photo.

“How it started vs How it’s going,” he captioned the post.
