A 2025 prophecy about late gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu, popularly known as Omije Ojumi, has resurfaced online following her death, prompting widespread discussions on social media.
The video reappeared just hours after news broke that Omije Ojumi had passed away after a prolonged illness.
In the clip, a prophet identified as Yinka Omole spoke about her condition and named the person he claimed was behind her ordeal.
Prophet Omole stated that Omije Ojumi’s illness was not physical but spiritual and emphasized that it could not be cured medically. He explained that her condition was caused by a spiritual attack, a claim that has attracted considerable attention online following her death.
Speaking further, Prophet Omole claimed that the attack on the singer came from someone within a religious circle. He also shared what he believed could help her recover.
He suggested a secluded location, such as a mountain, where prayers could be offered without anyone knowing her whereabouts. He also mentioned seeing a dark cloud and said that only serious prayers could reverse the situation.
In his words, spoken in Yoruba:
“God sent me to a woman who carries His covenant on her head. The woman I am talking about is Bunmi Akinnaanu, Omije Ojumi. God has spoken to me about her more than two times, but at this stage I must speak. I am doing this because God said His people must rise up and pray for her. I saw a dark cloud. God said she has been struck down by a spiritual arrow. He said her problem has no medical remedy and can only be resolved with prayer.
The Lord said even if all the money in this world is spent on her, she will not recover medically. The Lord said the arrow is from those who are calling upon His name. The Lord said the death arrow came from a prophet.
God said she should be taken to a mountain where no one knows her whereabouts, and if she is fervently prayed for there, she will recover.
God said she is a glory, and so that we will not lose glory, we should pray. You can abuse me if you want; I am not doing this to trend. I am only delivering what God sent me.
God said this is not a prayer one person can pray alone; men of God must join hands to pray for her.”
Since Omije Ojumi’s death, the resurfaced prophecy video has drawn mixed reactions online.
