Arsenal legend, Nwankwo Kanu has sent a message to the Super Eagles that Nigerians know what happened in their last match against Morocco.

Kanu said Nigerians are proud of Eric Chelle’s side after their defeat to Morocco in the AFCON semi-final encounter, wishing them success in their third-place playoff against Egypt on Saturday evening.

Recall that Morocco defeated Nigeria 4-2 via penalty shoot-out following a goalless draw after 120 minutes.

In a post via his X account ahead of Nigeria’s clash with Egypt in Casablanca, Kanu said: “Our dear Super Eagles, we are proud of you all, and we know what happened. Heads up for today’s game.

“Wishing our dear Super Eagles team strength, focus, and victory today.

“We believe in you, and Nigerians are with you all.”

Nigeria and Egypt failed to win their matches against Morocco and Senegal in the last-4 stage.
