Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala has hailed Senegal forward, Sadio Mane after the Teranga Lions defeated Morocco in the AFCON final on Sunday.

Oshoala heaped praises on Mane for the leadership quality the Al-Nassr star displayed during the encounter.

Recall that his Senegalese players walked off the pitch late in the second half after the referee gave Morocco a penalty after Brahim Diaz was fouled in the penalty area.

But Mane, who refused to join his teammates in leaving the pitch, urged them to come back to the pitch and continue the match.

Eduoard Mendy eventually saved Brahim Diaz’s weak panenka before the referee ended the match.

However, in extra time, Pape Gueye scored to ensure Senegal defeated the Atlas Lions.

Reacting, Oshoala, in a post via her X account, congratulated Senegal.

She wrote: “Congratulations to Senegal and God bless SADIO MANE, what a leader.”
