Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, has claimed that Michael Carrick and Liam Rosenior cannot win the Premier League title for Manchester United and Chelsea respectively.
While Carrick was brought in this January on a short-term deal until the summer, Rosenior signed a six-year contract to replace Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge.
Carragher, speaking on Monday Night Football, insisted both coaches don’t have what it takes to become champions of England.
He said: “Man United cannot win the league with Michael Carrick and I don’t believe Chelsea can also win the league with Liam Rosenior as a manager.
“You have to be special when you look at the managers that have won the League.
“There’s always special about 99% of them and that’s why i don’t see Michael Carrick or Liam Rosenior at Chelsea doing it.”
