Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry has given reasons he would always watch the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, tournament.

This comes following the conclusion of the 2025 tournament in Morocco, where Senegal triumphed over the hosts with a 1-0 victory in the final.

During his appearance on CBS Sports Golazo, Henry said he would always watch the AFCON because he could see remarkable skills and impressive teams.

He, however, mentioned iconic African players who have made their mark in Europe in the past.

“I can also mention the guys that came to play in Europe – Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, Jay-Jay Okocha,” Henry said.

“AFCON was always a tournament I enjoyed watching because you could see skills and great teams. I also watched this competition [2025 AFCON]; I will always watch it.”
