Atalanta head coach, Raffaele Palladino has praised Ademola Lookman for his commitment to the team.

Lookman is  back with the Atalanta squad after representing Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The 28-year-old was originally expected to return to training with La Dea on Wednesday.

The winger however make himself available on Tuesday, putting him in contention to face Athletico Bilbao in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

Palladino showered encomium on Lookman for his  dedication.

“On paper, he was supposed to return tomorrow. But, he wanted to play in this game at all costs. He’s showing a sense of attachment to this team and I’m happy about that,” he told a press conference.

The tricky winger scored three times, and provided five assists for Nigeria at the AFCON 2025 finals.
