Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Verydarkman and president of Ratel, recently shared a video discussing Nigerian-British boxer Anthony Joshua.

The boxer experienced a tragic loss in December 2025 when two of his friends died in a car accident in Ogun State, Nigeria, during a visit. Only Joshua and his driver survived the crash. Joshua was later hospitalized abroad, and the incident sparked significant online reactions.

While in Morocco for the AFCON match between Nigeria and the host nation, Verydarkman posted a video aimed at raising awareness about road safety in Nigeria. In the clip, he stood by a road in Morocco and pointed to a sign marked “80,” explaining that such speed limit signs could help prevent accidents like the one that claimed Joshua’s friends.

He emphasized that the number on the sign indicates the maximum speed drivers should adhere to. VDM recounted that while traveling in Morocco, the police stopped them multiple times for overspeeding, and fines were issued to enforce compliance. He noted that these measures help reduce reckless driving and improve road safety.

In the video, VDM also showed the car’s dashboard to illustrate the vehicle’s speed. He highlighted how speed limits are often lowered near bends, accompanied by clear signage to guide drivers safely.

VDM urged Nigerian authorities and road safety agencies to install proper road signs and deploy police officers to monitor traffic offenses.

Previously, Verydarkman reacted to the tragic accident involving Joshua’s friends, blaming a truck parked along the roadside and criticizing the government for lacking basic road safety infrastructure. He also called for stricter regulation of trucks on Nigerian roads.

Finally, VDM reflected on the emotional impact of the tragedy on Joshua, who had lost friends visiting to celebrate with him, while offering prayers for the deceased and their families.
